As a guideline for new waterers at the community garden, Tony recently compiled some great information on watering. In summary;
Water the soil rather than the leaves.
Use a moisture probe / meter to decide how much water to use.
If the soil is very dry the water may not penetrate it – you may have to water small amounts several times.
