Well what a year 2019 has been for Bethania Street Community Garden!
As the Wynnum Manly Community Gardens Group turned 10, we celebrated many achievements and our garden at Bethania Street continued to thrive! New bamboo trellises were built, new garden beds and edging were installed and our noticeboard was given a revamp. We had an amazing program of events, with local artist Megan Forward facilitating several art workshops for both children and adults. We also focussed on sustainability education for all ages. The younger members of our community enjoyed our garden through our Under 5s Gardening Time and Wynnum Family Day Care educators who also use our space. Several of our members opened up their gardens for visits too, helping to inspire others. Our management committee welcomed some new faces who brought enthusiasm for some big tasks.
A huge thank you to everyone who has been involved in the garden during 2019, in whatever capacity. We look forward to another great year in 2020!
