15th Birthday Celebrations

On Ekka Day, over 100 past and present members and neighbours celebrated the community garden's 15th birthday. It was a perfect morning in every respect: weather, food, music, birthday cake, fun prizes and, most importantly, lots of connecting and reconnecting with each other. Thanks to the Management Committee for all their hard work, to Carmel Anne for the amazing birthday cake (pictured), to Frank and Daniel for great music, Linda and Bill for the refreshing cordial and to Mint Foods for very reasonably priced, quality food. We received several donations – thanks to Brisbane City Council, Manly IGA, Coles Wynnum, Brookies and Heidi at Mango Beauty for vouchers.
