Bethania Street Community Garden Inc, a not-for-profit group with over 100 members, was established to inspire, share and teach organic gardening skills in our local area. Our vision is to help create a sustainable community by encouraging and promoting the growing and sharing of organic local food in a friendly and supportive environment.

Located in Cox Park, Lota, walking distance from Lota Station, the 1000m2 community garden operates under a licence from Brisbane City Council and has a diverse mix of members who keep the garden growing with volunteered time and skills. The area includes over 20 raised beds (many are self-watering), herb spiral, fruit orchard, and large food forest, which are all gardened communally. The garden also includes rainwater storage, a large compost system and an undercover meeting area for use by community garden members.

While the garden is open daily between 5.00am and 7.00pm for the public to walk through, our main Gardening Time is held every Wednesday morning. Come along, help keep the garden growing and learn new skills with our community gardeners.
