Bethania Street Community Garden, helping to create a sustainable community by encouraging and promoting the growing and sharing of organic, local food.

Wynnum Manly Community Gardens Group, a not-for-profit incorporated group with over 200 members from the local area, established Bethania Street Community Garden, Cox Park, Lota in September 2011, to inspire, share and teach organic gardening skills in the Wynnum-Manly-Lota area. The garden operates under a licence from Brisbane City Council. We have a diverse mix of members who keep the garden growing with volunteered time and skills.

The garden is open to the public daily between 5am and 7pm and is a 5-minute walk from Lota railway station.

Our garden has over 20 raised beds, a herb spiral and a fruit orchard. These are gardened communally. (We don't have any beds allocated to individuals). The garden also includes rain water storage, large compost system and an undercover meeting area. Our main gardening time is held every Wednesday 7:00 – 9:30am.

Come along, help keep the garden growing and learn new skills with our community gardeners.
